Feature
Default RSS Feed
One of the useful features of the latest 91 release for the London MLE is the ability to present an RSS feed above all users today pages. This has now been set by default as an unchanging link to the LGfL content grid but LAs should be aware of the options available to them.

·         It can be left as a default link to the LGfL content grid
·         The RSS strip can be removed completely
·         It could feature an LA’s own RSS feed
·         It can feature pupil friendly news items from the LGfL ( a new service)

The pupil newsfeed can be viewed at http://www.lgfl.net/lgfl/rss/pupilfeed.xml using an RSS reader and features only pupil relevant news articles.

To change the default in favour of any of these options the LA should contact the Fronter helpdesk and specify their preference.

LGfL Logo
In accordance with being an LGfL service, the LGfL logo will also shortly be featured in the LMLE in two places.

London MLE Reference Groups

London MLEThe dates for the next rounds of the London Reference Group meeting have been set. Each LA is entitled and encouraged to send one primary teacher and one secondary teacher to the appropriate reference group to represent the collective views of the other schools using the MLE within the borough. The meeting provides an opportunity for direct feedback into the Fronter development plan.

Attendees should reserve the dates in their diary. If you wish to represent the schools in your borough please contact your Local Authority. Venues will be advised nearer the time.
